A few years back, we started looking at Mini ITX projects, and decided we should do one. A friend ultimately came up with the idea of transforming the original Nintendo Entertainment System into a functional computer. I looked around on the internet and found that it had been done before. Ordinarily, this would discourage me from doing a project, but the other attempts didn't seem quite good enough. Though from the front they looked like an NES, the illusion was ruined by gaping holes full of computer ports on the back. As a result, we decided we could do the project and still be fairly original - we just had to do it better. |
